The webinar opened with a case for applying strategically rather than broadly — why throwing applications at every dental school rarely works as well as choosing targets based on your actual UCAT score. From there it walked through how to read your score against different schools' typical cut-offs and weighting, backed by real case studies showing how similar scores led to very different outcomes depending on where people applied. The session then moved into personal statement tips, followed by a frank look at why most candidates fail at interview stage — usually less about knowledge gaps and more about how they present themselves under pressure. It closed with an open Q&A, giving attendees the chance to ask about their own specific situations.
