Alif

I am a third-year medical student at King’s College London with a strong commitment to widening participation and supporting aspiring healthcare students. Having grown up in a lower-income area of London, I have experienced first-hand the challenges that students from disadvantaged backgrounds often face in pursuing higher education.
Motivated by this, I have dedicated my time alongside my medical studies to working with schools across my borough, providing guidance on medical and dental school applications. This includes offering tailored support with interview preparation and personal statement development. To date, I have helped more than ten students secure offers from their desired universities, with eight successfully gaining places at Russell Group institutions to study Medicine and Dentistry across the UK.
Through these efforts, I aim to inspire and empower young people from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in healthcare, while also contributing to a more diverse and inclusive future medical workforce.
